#EndorseThis: Mitt Romney Dines With The Devil On Frogs’ Legs (And Crow)

That intimate little dinner at Restaurant Jean-Georges in Manhattan, where Mitt Romney met again with Donald Trump, made a powerful impression on Stephen Colbert. First there was what they ate — “young garlic soup and sautéed frogs’ legs” — which inspired the Late Show host to observe that he expected Trump to “drain the swamp, not eat its contents.” And what did those frogs’ legs taste like? Bleeped.

In the photo of Trump and Romney at table, the president-elect looks strangely like the Devil, “feasting on babies’ souls.” But the man who once called him “a conman” doesn’t like nearly as smug. In fact, Romney’s face reminds Colbert of the feelings that have plagued him since the election.

And he has figured out what inspires Trump’s tweets, plus an appropriate new motto for Green Party nominee Jill Stein.
